Look what a house cost in 1962!

I was born in 1962. It does not seem that long ago, but according to this, it was ages ago. The average sale price of a house was $12,550! A friend of mine posted this cost of living sheet on her FaceBook page. I thought the numbers were just crazy. If I had invested in real estate the day I was born, at 52 years old, not only would I be set for life, I would be a multimillionaire! Real Estate value does go up and down, but in the long run, it is always a great investment.
